Sans titre 5565

La Fabrique de la paroisse Notre-Dame, the non-profit organization in charge of managing the historical site of the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery, is proud to announce that it is on the right track to achieving its goal of contacting all families affected by the delays which occurred in 2023 and 2024 before the end of the year.

September 17, 2024

With the help of all cemetery employees, La Fabrique was able to establish a rigorous catching-up plan in order to meet the needs of families bereaved by the loss of a loved one. The various teams, either working on the grounds or in the office, are fully committed to their mission of providing efficient solutions and offering personalized support that is tailored as closely as possible to each situation. This work, although it is colossal, is progressing at a steady pace thanks to everyone's diligent efforts.

“We deeply understand the pain and difficulties that these delays can cause to grieving families, and we are infinitely grateful for their patience and understanding during this catching-up period. Our teams are working tirelessly to restore services and honour each family with the respect and dignity they deserve”, said Michel Issa, Chief Executive Officer of La Fabrique de la Paroisse Notre-Dame-des-Neiges.”We also wish to thank all our employees, who are our true strength. We are fortunate to work with qualified personnel, some of whom have been with us for over 30 years. While there is still some way to go, their commitment and conscientious work are essential factors in this immense task.”

As one of the largest cemeteries in North America, and the largest in Canada, Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery remains committed to providing a peaceful and dignified environment where families and visitors can gather.

“We deeply understand the pain and difficulties that these delays can cause to grieving families, and we are infinitely grateful for their patience and understanding during this catching-up period. Our teams are working tirelessly to restore services and honour each family with the respect and dignity they deserve, said Michel Issa, Chief Executive Officer of La Fabrique de la Paroisse Notre-Dame-des-Neiges.”
